VW Beetle

Long time since i posted something here. And this work is something i made a while ago too. But this is the best blender work of mine so far. It started out as a low-poly model intended for a small animationproject we got going on www.blender3d.no But it kinda escalated into a great car model. I used a blueprint to get the shapes, but i adjusted some minor stuff, so it would be easier to model. Lot of the interior ain't done because i started to get bored of the model when the interior was about to start. Anyways here it is:

And here is the .blend file for everyone interested.

Week Challange on Blender3d.no

Hello again!

We now have a Norwegian Blender community going. There it`s somthing called Week Challange where we get one week to make a picture in blender. The topic is decided by the last weeks winner. This is alot like the week-END challange on blenderartists.org This week the topic was "A small child`s toy". My recent explorations through the jungle of yafray made my render alot better than i would have thought. I didnt really spend a lot of time on models and textures, but the testrendering in yafray did take a while. This final image is rendered for 6 hours with the Depth of field that yafray got. This is why it took that long time and my computer is really slow, (and it gets really hot when rendering over a long period of time - almost 80 to 85 C). Anyways, a picture says more than a thousands words. Enjoy

Testing Depth Of Field

I have recently tested Depth of field in Blender. I can get this effect with the composite nodes in blender. I find it very easy to use when i just got the nodes to work properly. I also uploaded a .Blendfile excample if you want to have a look of how it`s done. I also uploaded a example render of the result. Enjoy.

Speed Contest on 3Dhue.com

Hello. I entred a speed contest on 3dhue.com :) This is a norwegian all-app 3dsite for norwegian 3Dartists. The rules for speed modeling is 90 min model pusseling. Then you can tweak light textures and other stuff as long as you want. I am not a pro in this though, the other users on this forum have professional jobs working with 3D and with highcost apps like 3dstudio and maya. Anyways i have to enter to show that blender can also produce some great renders. The topic here was somthing norwegian "Ostehøvvel" or a cheesecutter. Enjoy.

Weekend challange on Blenderartists.org (#256)

Again another WC on BA.org

This time the topic was "freedom" provided by the all blendermighty robertT. I kinda kickstarted the whole thing with a cage of some sort. I just made the character for fun. I havent done any seriously characterblending yet so this is probably the best i can do :) Anyways, i am still improving lightsetups and rendering. I getting pretty good (imo) at rendering in the blender internal rendrer. Enjoy this nice render.
